ASUU finally agrees to End strike after Eight months.
Dr Chris Ngige, who is a Minister of Labour and Employment happen to lead the Federal Government team.
After much argument and deliberating with the Union government, Asuu agrees to receive N40, 000,000,000 for Earned Allowance and N30, 000,000,000 for the revitalization of the University system, which makes the total N70, 000,000,000.
Also, Dr Chris Ngige promises to pay the Lecturers arrears of salaries before the 31st Of December 2020.
When the meeting was brought to a close, Dr Chris Ngige had a brief chat with the Newsmen and quoted these words below:
Many issues were discussed at the meeting including salary shortfall, the payment system and revitalisation of the university system. I am positive that all the issues would be resolved at our next meeting.
Although the day in which students are expected to resume hasn’t been disclose, but we will update you when it is been made public.
