TOPIC: Mystery And Blessing Of Dedication (V) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 5 January 2022)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 9:18-29, Genesis 10, Genesis 11:1-9, Matthew 4:23-25, Matthew 5:1-20, Psalm 4:1-8

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Chronicles 1:6-12 (KJV)

6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

9 Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

MEMORY VERSE: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Every true child of God that does the work of God genuinely can never lack divine supplies. It is not possible to put God first and come last in life.

PRAISE & WORSHIP

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I PROPHESY THAT THROUGHOUT THIS YEAR AND BEYOND, GOD WILL OPEN HIS FLOODGATES OF BLESSINGS AND UNIMAGINABLE SUPPLIES FOR YOU, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Mountain Top Life MESSAGE:

In today’s Memory Verse, Jesus, our Royal Master, revealed one of the meanings of dedication: to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. He then assured that every other good thing will be added to those who do so. The truth is that God seekers and chasers do not have to seek for good; rather, good things seek, pursue and overtake them. Dedication offers the privilege of access to divine supplies. Anyone who is dedicated to God will live in the realm of abundance and plenty.

Let us examine some scriptural examples of dedicated people who had access to divine supplies. Their stories will strengthen your faith and spur you to emulate them. First, when God called Abraham, He promised to make him a great nation, bless him, make his name great, make him a blessing, bless those who bless him, curse those who curse him and added that in him shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 24:1 affirms that God fulfilled the seven-fold promises of supernatural supply and blessings that He made to Abraham who was an epitome of dedication: “And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.”

In Job 1:1-3, the Bible paints a vivid picture of Job’s spiritual stature and dedication to God: he was perfect and upright, feared God and eschewed evil. The result of this enviable credential of Job was that God blessed him with incomparable supernatural supplies in his time (seven sons and three daughters as well as honour, wealth and riches untold).

Our Fire Scripture for today reveals how Solomon demonstrated his life of complete dedication to God by offering a thousand burnt offering to Him in worship and gratitude. One mark of truly dedicated worshippers is that they give extraordinarily and generously to God. The result was that God paid Solomon a visit that changed his life for good. God gave him what he asked for (wisdom and knowledge); including what he did not ask for — riches, wealth and honour, such as no king before him had. At this point, Solomon’s life of total commitment to God earned him blessings that money could buy and those that money could not buy. I advise you to borrow a leaf from him.
