MESSAGE:
Mourners are those who are sad as a result of an occurrence, However, a Mourner in the context of todays discussion is one who is most concerned about the state of things in his/her immediate environment or the world at large, particularly as regards sin. In the world today, a lot of unthinkable things happen. For instance, in my days lesbians and gays were not common: infact, homosexuality was a taboo. It is still a taboo in the eyes of God. (Leviticus 18:22), but unfortunately. it’s becoming acceptable to the extent that there are now so many genders, whereas God made us only male and female (Genesis 1:27). This should make any true child of God mourn.
As a Christian, you should not only mourn for the state of things in the world today. you should cry out by preaching to the lost souls. You should correct erring believers around you in love and pray earnestly for the labourers in God’s Kingdom, as well as lost souls. Don’t be complacent! Take action, and as you do, may the Lord comfort you with souls and crowns in His Kingdom at the end of the age, in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT: Don’t be complacent about the level of sin in the world. Acts!
