Maverick City Music, a Grammy-winning group, recently revealed on social media that they have suspended Dante Bowe for acting unevenly with their core principles and beliefs.
The artist may still collaborate with the choir in the future, but for the time being, he is not a member and will not be performing with them.
“Due to behavior that is inconsistent with our core values and beliefs, we have decided to put a pause on our professional relationship with Dante Bowe,” they wrote in a statement.”
The worship group doesn’t provide any information about the actions that prompted the choice. The Instagram statement, however, adds; “Dante is a brother in Christ and as such he has our full commitment and unwavering support as he continues to navigate his path forward.”
Bowe announced that he is taking a break from social media and keeping his account private after the group made their declaration.
Dante Bowe said; “In light of recent events and opinions, I’ve talked to some of the wisest leaders and brothers around me. I’ll be taking time off social media to rest mentally and physically.”
After deciding against taking a social media break, he posted an apology, but it was later removed.
In late October, Bowe is expected to launch his “Joyful” tour. Although the tour website is still taking orders for tickets, one of his shows slated for Virginia Beach, VA, appears to have been cancelled.
