“Jehovah is Your Name” is a danceable praise medley that combines Highlife, Fuji music, and Makossa with lots of African percussion to honor God. The new song is given in a mix of languages, including Igbo dialect, Yoruba, and Nigerian Pidgin English.
The Victorious Army Ministries International, which was started by the late Apostle Joseph Agboli and is currently led by Mama Blessings Joseph, is home to the praise-worship group and band Tega & The Victorious Voices.
The new praise medley, according to Tega, who also serves as the Church’s music director, is intended to proclaim God’s praises and His mightiness despite the death of their G.O. The song “Jehovah is Your Name” has a music video to go with it.
